Great Ways to say: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RG!

Summer Greetings to everyone at RGO!

As you know, June 30th is Rupert Graves's birthday - 49 this year (2012). Have you ever clicked on the two links at the bottom of the RGO home page, to Cancer Research UK and Springboard Opportunity Group? If not, I encourage you to do so and find out about these two charities (RG is a Patron of the latter). A contribution makes a swell "birthday gift"!

Back in 2010, Josef Graves, Rupert and Susie Graves's eldest child, on his own initiative made a sponsored charity walk to raise funds for mosquito nets for kids in Africa. The web page at Just Giving remains open for further donations:

Send a card. Post a message here at RGO. Support Rupert Graves and his family "on the inner" with a special prayer (or through other methods of spiritual support). There are so many great ways to say "Happy Birthday!" and "Thank you!"

The GravesDiggers (on Tumblr/Twitter/LiveJournal) have decided - just for a bit of fun - to make up a 49 Faves of Graves list: 49 of our favourite moments/pictures/quotes from Rupert's works.

We'd be delighted if anyone from the RGO forum wants to add a few suggestions of their own (anon comments are enabled if you're not an LJ member).

I'll be making a Tumblr queue of the list all day tomorrow and there will also be the usual celebratory mass posting of loads of other Rupert pictures/gifs/etc. in what's become known on Tumblr as a GravesGiving Day (after last year's Thanksgiving holiday turned into a post-your-pics-of-Rupert day!)

We also thought we might do a specific charity donation drive next year for the special occasion of Rupert's 50th. Top candidate just now is the Springboard Opportunity Group since it's a smaller charity and we think any donations would have a bigger impact. (We considered Josef's page, but that's his, not his daddy's.)
